Power To A Power Law
When a power is raised to an exponent simply multiply the two exponents together to get a new power.

Power Of A Product Law

When a product is raised to an exponent you can re-write each number in the product to the same exponent.

Product Of A Quotient Law

When a quotient is raised to an exponent you can re-write each number in the quotient with the same exponent.

Anything to the exponent 0 is 1

Anything to the exponent 1 is to itself

1 to any exponent is 1

If there is a negative exponent in the numerator or in the denominator just simply flip it to turn it into a positive.

These are what these numbers are called when they are written like this.

Here is the question we did using BEDMAS

Homework book Chapter 2.4
Question number 16

A square has an area of 225 cm². What is the radius of the largest circle that can fit inside the square? Show your thinking.

S² = 225cm²
So if S² is 225cm² than what i had to do was find S by it by itself. By finding S i had to square root S² .
√225cm² and i got 15.
S = 15cm
Since i found S which is one side of the square, i know that one side equals to the diameter of the circle. So what i did next was took the diameter and dived it by 2.
d/2 = r
15/2 = 7.5
7.5 = r
The radius of the largest circle is 7.5cm.
